The School of Science and Technology Health and Science Academy is a two week non-residential academic enrichment
program designed for motivated middle and high school students from area schools.
The purpose of this summer academy
is to encourage student interest in the sciences and health sciences, to provide role models and networking opportunities,
as well as to provide reinforcement activities for middle/high school science level course work.
This is an excellent opportunity
for young students to engage in valuable hands-on experience while exploring future careers in the sciences and
laboratory associated sciences.
This academy is held during the summer on the campus of Norfolk State University with field trips to Norfolk Sentara
Hospital and Eastern Virginia Medical School.
Participation in this academy is limited. Application packets for '08 SST Health and Science Academy will be available in 2008.
